    End Of The Week Ping
Dear Parents / Carers, We've had a wonderful week, and Autumn Term 1 is now in full swing! It has been fantastic to see the children settling back into their routines with such enthusiasm and focus. Our after-school clubs have started this week and it is lovely to see so many pupils getting involved. The children are working extremely hard both in and out of the classroom, and we're really proud of their efforts. We held our first Celebration Assembly which was a success too! Well done to all of those celebrated (see X for some images). Upcoming Reminders: Monday 22nd - Year 4 Swimming continues Tuesday 23rd - YR 4 Trip to Warrington Museum Friday 26th - LKS2 Celebration Assembly Monday 29th - EYFS Parents Workshop, 9am School Hall Wednesday 22nd / Thursday 23rd October - Parents' Evening - More information to follow. Thursday 6th November - PTA Firework Display - tickets will be on sale soon (last year it was sold out so be ready!). Please remember to inform the school office if your child will be absent from school. If we do not receive notification of your child’s absence by 9am, this may result in a home visit as part of our safeguarding procedures. We would like to encourage all parents to download the My Happy Mind app to a device at home. This will support your child's learning in PSHE in school and is a fantastic, free online resource to help you and your family to learn more about My Happy Mind strategies that you can use at home. You will need to register for this with your email. You can also login at https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources You will need our school authentication code to sign in to this; this is 111204.  MyHappyMind App includes many useful resources including supporting our children who might sometimes struggle to control emotions. The resources are amazing. We pay for this service and we cannot recommend it enough. https://warrington.onlinesafetyhub.uk/ - IS a great resource for e-safety. There is an App used by our parents called Custodio - it is highly recommended. There is a FREE version for all Warrington Schools. This has had a positive impact for some families. Safeguarding - This week the children were reminded about how to stay safe and who to speak to in the event of them feeling unsafe. A reminder for parents - if you feel worried about other children in our community and would like some advice and guidance, follow this link: https://www.warringtonsafeguardingpartnerships.org.uk/p/i-work-or-volunteer-with-children-and-young-people/how-to-report-abuse or Report any safeguarding concerns about a child or young person to children's safeguarding and social work teams on 01925 443322, press one and either say MASH or the name of the person if known. Outside of office hours call us on 01925 444400 We kindly ask that when parking around the school, you park considerately to ensure the safety and convenience of everyone. Parking in a disabled space is only permitted if you have a blue badge permit. Please avoid blocking pathways and refrain from parking on double yellow lines leading up to the school to allow access for emergency vehicles. Your cooperation helps maintain smooth traffic flow and ensures pedestrian access is not obstructed. The PCSO and Police have informed us of regular checks in the Autumn Term. Walking, Bikes and Scooters - We encourage, where possible, children to walk to school. As part of our Climate Action Plan, we will be raising the profile of this as much as we can. Thank you for your continuing support! Attached: YR5&6 Girls Rugby Football Development OCT Holiday Club

    Cheshire Police Communication
A Message for Parents: Online Safety and Snapchat Group Chats Cheshire Police have recently shared information about a Snapchat group chat that raised concerns, involving both adults and young people — including some children from the Warrington area. The police are currently managing the situation and want to raise awareness among parents and carers. While this relates to a specific case, it highlights the importance of regularly talking with children about how to stay safe online, especially when using apps like Snapchat or being part of group chats. We encourage you to take a few minutes to read the police message below and use it as an opportunity to have an open, age-appropriate conversation with your child about staying safe and feeling comfortable coming to you with any concerns. 🔗 Police urge parents to speak with their children about Snapchat safety following reports of a concerning group chat in Warrington | Cheshire Constabulary Thank you for your continued support in helping to keep all our young people safe online.

A Warm Welcome to the Locking Stumps Community Primary School Website.

I have worked at Locking Stumps since 2017, first as Deputy and now as Headteacher. From the moment I first walked into the school, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be. I feel so proud and privileged to be the Headteacher, and I continue to work tirelessly, alongside an amazing team, to ensure that our school is the very best it can be for the children of Locking Stumps.

We have extremely hardworking team of staff and governors – all of whom go ‘above and beyond’ for our children. The majority of staff have been a part of the school for over 10 years. We are enormously proud of our school and of the fantastic relationships we share with one another, with the children and with the families of our community.

Our school aims are rooted in celebrating the achievements and talents of every child, while striving for the highest standards in all that we do. Central to our core values is the belief that our children should be well-mannered, proud and aspirational. We want to create a school experience to remember and to be proud of.
