SATs Information

SATs are standardised assessment tests used to measure the attainment and performance in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Here is the Year 6 SATs timetable for this year:
Monday May 9th 2022: Spelling, punctuation and grammar Test- Grammar/Punctuation- 45 minutes
Monday May 9th 2022: Spelling, punctuation and grammar Test- Spelling- 20 minutes
Tuesday May 10th 2022: Reading Test- 60 minutes
Wednesday May 11th 2022: Maths Paper 1 (Arithmetic)- 30 minutes
Wednesday May 11th 2022: Maths Paper 2 (Reasoning)- 40 minutes
Thursday May 12th 2022: Maths Paper 3 (Reasoning)- 40 minutes
2021/22 academic year
Key stage 1 and key stage 2 assessments
The National Curriculum Assessments are due to be held in summer 2022. For Key Stage 1 children they take place over a few weeks with the assessments taken in class in very informal conditions. The Key Stage 2 tests will begin on Monday 9th May 2022. Children in Year 6 will be assessed in reading, speling, punctuation and grammar, writing and maths. Multiplication tables check
Schools can choose to administer the optional multiplication tables check within the 3-week period from June. Further guidance will be published in March 2022 - Parents and Carers attended a meeting about the times tables check. Please see Parent Meetings to view the presentation.

Every year we hold a parent meeting relating to the SATs and what to expect your child to be doing.
