OFSTED Report
Our school was last inspected by Ofsted on 15th and 16th February 2022.
Ofsted have graded our school as still being a ‘Good’ school. As previously communicated, the inspection was a ‘Section 8 Inspection’ which does not immediately convert the grading to a different category. A further inspection (called a section 5 inspection) is needed to make this happen.
Our families continue to offer support and a positive approached to our school - this was evident during the Ofsted inspection. This was highlighted within the Education Awards (see the Warrington Guardian).
We are very happy with our report and do insist, like our families, that we ‘stand out’ and are passionate about offering a well-rounded education for our children which not only focuses on academic achievement, but also the development of character and good citizens. The inspection went very well. It was a really positive experience for our staff and our children.
The pupil and parent surveys were again, extremely positive and those parents who gave up their time to speak to the inspector spoke very favourably about their school experience. The same can be said about your brilliant children who spoke articulately and shared a real sense of pride in their school. The inspector was very complimentary about the behaviour and attitudes of our children but also about the personal development they receive during their Locking Stumps school journey.
All of the staff and governors want to offer our sincere thanks to all of our families for their constant support and positivity. As parents and carers will see from the report, the word RELATIONSHIPS was used in the opening sentence – we are delighted with this as we believe that our positive relationships help to make our school the special place that it is.
Thank you for your support.
Mr Vermiglio
