The Learning Bubble

Each child has access to their own learning space and class community page along with a range of exciting learning resources. To access these resources as well as other useful things, children need to log into our 'Learning Bubble'. To do this they need to click the 'log in' button on the bottom right of this screen or click the image underneath where it says 'Log into our Learning Bubble. Every child has a username and password. This should be in their homework diary or reading record book. If your child can not find their log in details please speak to Miss Collins.

Coming in to school

The children will come into class  independently. The classroom door will open at 8.35am, so please ensure your child is there to ensure a prompt start to school. This gives the children enough time to put their items away and change their reading book before registration. 


P.E. Kit -

NAMED PLEASE! P.E. Kits should be brought into school every Monday morning and taken home at the end of the week.  Indoor PE Kit - Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts and black pumps.  Outdoor PE Kit, as above but also plain black tracksuit bottoms, top and trainers. Children are not permitted to wear earrings for PE lessons, please can you ensure your child does not wear earrings on PE days.

 
Help!

Please let me know if you are interested in helping in school on a regular basis as there are plenty of jobs we need help with! For example:  hearing children read, laminating, cutting, art work etc.

This half term we will be learning about: Toys

We will learn:

· how toys have changed over time

· how to design and make our own toys

· which materials are best suited for specific toys

· about  the work of artists e.g. Pieter Bruegel the Elder and LS Lowry.

 

English:

· Poetry

· Information texts

· Story writing 

 

Maths:

· Multiplication (repeated addition)

· Division (repeated subtraction)

· Problem solving

 

 

 

 

 

Homework

All maths challenge homework is handed in on a Tuesday and spellings learnt for a Friday. Please continue to read each night with your child, discussing the text and

predicting what could happen next.
